At Polywest, we recognize that companies live, and die, by the quality of their customer service. We have made it our mission to offer the most responsive customer service possible to go along with our quality products, industry knowledge and vast reach. When you partner with Polywest, you are getting a commitment not only as your liquid handling products supplier of choice, but also to be the industry’s top partner in terms of service, training, responsiveness and value.
Top manufacturers trust in Polywest to distribute their products. Along with that trust, we hope that our customers also trust us to be their source for liquid handling products. We distribute from three (3) locations strategically located in Canada’s prairie provinces. Each of our locations inventory a wide variety of products, and we are able to source and ship to customers across North America.
Together with our own shipping company, West-X Logistics, Polywest is well equipped to provide top level distribution to customers in Canada, the US and around the globe.
Polywest has become a highly capable rotomolding facility, that when coupled with our other proprietary products, has enabled us to set ourselves apart by becoming a comprehensive provider of quality liquid handling products. We are constantly on the lookout for new products and challenges, as well as new and innovative ways to make our existing products even more outstanding.
Beginning in 1991 as a distributing division of a major plastics manufacturer, Polywest Ltd was incorporated as a private company in 1995. Separating from its manufacturing parent and opening an independent location gave Polywest the ability to concentrate on marketing a synergistic line of liquid handling products to the agricultural and industrial markets. The objective was to offer main line products at a fair price, on a timely basis and with a degree of product knowledge that customers could trust.
Since 1995 the company has enjoyed unprecedented growth, establishing itself as the “Go To” supplier of quality liquid handling products. This success has been accomplished with name brand products from the most respected manufacturers in North America. Companies such as Norwesco, ZCL, Banjo Corporation, Spraying Systems, John Blue, Honda, GPI and Delavan have put their confidence in Polywest to offer their products professionally and at a price that will promote their continued growth.
Strategic acquisition has played a key role in Polywest’s growth and success. After acquiring the equipment of GreenDrop in 1996, Polywest undertook a substantive effort to take an industry accepted product line and evolve it to meet the changing liquid fertilizer market. Those changes have made Polywest the leader in liquid fertilizer application equipment not only in Canada, but also globally with product sales in the USA, Europe and Australia.
In late 1999 Polywest acquired the marketing and distribution rights of a below ground septic and holding tank product line to compliment its above ground polyethylene storage tanks. With the addition of Norwesco Water and Waste products, Infiltrator Systems septic chambers and Carlson Structural Glass fiberglass septic tanks, Polywest Ltd. became the most complete supplier of above and below ground storage and hauling tanks in Canada.
In 2011 Polywest Ltd. acquired Focus Industries Inc. and with it gained the exclusive marketing and manufacturing rights to The Handler® Crop Protection Systems along with distribution rights for complimentary, high quality products such as Banjo, Green Leaf and ZCL Composites.
The company evolution continued in 2013 with the acquisition of Westland Plastics, a successful 30 year old manufacturer of high quality rotationally molded plastic products. Westland’s products are sold into a wide variety of industries including agriculture, water, wastewater, marine, recreational vehicle and industrial. 2013 also marked the creation of our own shipping company, West-X Logistics, as well as the completion of a new 50,000 square foot Winnipeg Head Office and Distribution Centre. As a result, the Polywest business group now operates in three major Canadian centres (Winnipeg, Saskatoon, and Edmonton/Acheson) with the ability to distribute and ship its products to any of its points within 24 hours.
In 2014, Polywest continued to evolve. First, with the sale of our Prairie Pride line to PW Aire, giving Polywest the ability to better focus on our core competencies. Secondly, the full transition of Westland Plastics into the Polywest brand and the installation of a new rotomolding machine in our Winnipeg facility. As a result of these combined events, Polywest is now better equipped to serve both its customers and dealers.
2015/2016 have also seen some changed on the face of Polywest. Increased expansion into specialty niche products, like Safe-Fill, The Pro-Slide and The Pawd, as well as a significant expansion of sales forces in both Saskatchewan and Alberta, allow us to both expand our customer base as well as provide better service and support to our existing customers. We are excited for what the future holds.

Polywest is committed to working with Indigenous communities in a spirit of mutual trust and respect. We have a long track-record of indigenous cooperation with regards to the liquid handling products and services we supply. Recognizing that we are all stewards of the land, Polywest has partnered with First Nations and Metis on many levels to manage clean water and wastewater for human needs. One example of such cooperative action is the supply of Freeze-Protected tanks, a necessity in Canada’s harsh winter climate. These are heat traced, insulated, and UV protected above ground water cisterns that hold the supply of clean potable drinking water for indigenous bands of northern Manitoba. To accompany these residences are wastewater tanks above or below ground that control waste discharge and protect the environment. Together we have assisted in bringing basic necessities and improved standards of living to thousands of indigenous men, women, and children.
In accordance with government acts, rules, and regulations Polywest supplies storage tanks with government approval for potable water, and CSA certification for tanks handling waste disposal. Importantly, Polywest recognizes the need to maintain the health of our environment and the health of indigenous residents. First Nations and Metis are valuable citizens in the woven Canadian demographic.
The organizations supported by Polywest reflect the philanthropic beliefs of not just ownership and management, but of the people who make up the heart of our organization. We believe that the organizations and initiatives supported by the company, should reflect what our own staff believe is worthwhile, as these are often very personal and meaningful.
As such, our support is offered to various groups, across a wide range of scope and size – from grassroots projects like animal rescue and youth programs, all the way to national initiatives supporting social issues such as homelessness, poverty and mental health, to research initiatives on disease and mental health that affect humanity on a global scale.
